It is no secret that the graduate job market is ferociously competitive, now more so than ever before. Graduate Employers are increasingly seeking graduates with specific skill sets refined and honed outside their academic disciplines – a good quality degree is no longer enough on its own. The aim of this scheme is to help participants, particularly those with an interest in Politics nurture and develop some of the transferable skills graduate employers are looking for beyond students degrees – helping participants help themselves.

The Lancaster Conservative Political Award is centred on four core themes- The Four C’S – Communication; Co-operation; Co-ordination; and Community. There are 20 places on the scheme and anyone seeking one of these places should submit a short piece of no more than 100 words demonstrating an interest in politics and saying why they would benefit from the program to lcpa.directors@gmail.com.
